United in pursuit of the betterment of our community and the world

The Rotary Club of Woodstock was chartered by Rotary International on April 22, 1968. Throughout its history, the Rotary Club of Woodstock has been committed to implementing community and international service projects that encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintances as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

EXEMPLIFYING “SERVICE ABOVE SELF” IN OUR COMMUNITY AND BEYOND

  • Providing both vocational and academic scholarships to local students
  • Operating Christmas Clearing House that delivers food and gifts to over 1,200 area families each holiday season
  • Annual support and outreach for the community Red Cross Blood Drive
  • Volunteering for and with charitable organizations such as Blessings in a Backpack, Northern Illinois Food Bank, OperationWarm.org, Woodstock Food Pantry
  • Raising funds to support the Guatemala Literacy Project to help bring lifechanging educational programs to over 7,000 students and teachers in Guatemala
  • Helping with Restoring Smiles — the Medical Fellowships for Cleft Repair Surgery in Northern Brazil
